Vineyard
Who we are
This policy describes how the Vineyard app (“Vineyard”) handles information.
Vineyard has no user accounts, no cloud backend, and no analytics service. We do not operate a server that receives your journal, fasting plans, or saved recipes.
What we collect
Vineyard does not collect personal data from you for our own records. We do not sell data. We do not use your information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
If you write to us, or support the project through a link we display in the app, that third-party site handles whatever you choose to send there under its own policy. Vineyard does not transmit your in-app journal or plans to those sites.
What stays on your device
Vineyard stores the following locally, using the operating system’s app storage (AsyncStorage). This storage is not encrypted by Vineyard:
- Your name, if you choose to enter one
- Fasting plans, progress, and journey history
- Journal reflections
- Saved recipes and appearance (light, dark, or system)
- Cached King James Bible chapters you have opened
- A flag that a store review prompt was already shown
Device backups made by Apple may include this app data. We cannot read those backups.
Network requests
Scripture
When you open a chapter, Vineyard may request the King James text from the Free Use Bible API at bible.helloao.org, then cache it on your device. That request can include the book and chapter you asked for. It does not include your journal, plans, or name. The API operator may see ordinary connection information such as IP address, as with any website. Their practices are described by their own policy.
Optional outbound links
The app can open Apple’s App Store listing for Pennaires, and a Buy Me a Coffee page for Vineyard Creatives. Those destinations are not Vineyard. We do not send them your Vineyard data.
App Store review
After you complete a fast, Vineyard may ask Apple to show the system review prompt. Apple handles that prompt under Apple’s policies. Vineyard only stores a local note that the prompt was requested.
Notifications
If you opt in, Vineyard schedules local reminders on your device (for example, a 9:00 AM prayer reminder in your current time zone). These notifications are created and delivered by iOS. They are not sent through our servers. You can deny permission, later revoke it in iOS Settings, or turn reminders off when you save a plan.
Retention and deletion
Because we do not hold your Vineyard data, there is nothing for us to delete from our servers. To remove data from the app:
- Edit or delete journal entries and journeys in Vineyard, or
- Delete the app from your device, which removes local storage
If a backup later restores the app, local data in that backup may return. Clearing Safari or web-preview site data can also remove web storage; the iOS app is separate.
You do not grant Vineyard a cloud copy of your content, so there is no separate consent to withdraw for server-side processing of your journal.
Children
Vineyard does not ask for a child’s name, email, or location, and it is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through email or another channel outside the app, contact us and we will delete what we have.
Fasting and food information
Guides, food notes, and recipe nutrition are general information and devotional interpretation. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or a personalized health service. Vineyard does not collect health research data.
Contact and changes
Questions about this policy can be sent through Help & support, the Vineyard product page on the App Store, or buymeacoffee.com/vineyard.creatives.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date. Continued use of Vineyard after a change means you accept the updated policy.
